This is episode 83 of Undersea Menace From the Year 3200 – a remastered webcomic from 1999. You can start reading the story here.
This strip was one of the ‘lost’ episodes which fell victim to a crashed hard drive more than a decade ago. I still had the low-res files and was able to recover the vector linework “inks” but the high-resolution 3d-rendered final panel is gone. I was able to cobble a new final panel together from other renderings from the time. I also had to recolor the panels in the style of the strips back then and I had to fight every instinct to redraw (I mean fix) the figures and faces. :)
