Episode 212: “Almost there!”

I know it’s a weird thing to be happy about… but I really like how the rocks and debris turns out in panel two. 🙂

  1. I did NOT expect to see Phosphate to be uncovered! Shame on her. Can’t she recognise the scent of her true love? Or maybe our ‘hero’ really needs a bath?

  2. Uncovering “Phosphate” instead of Phosphine … I see what you did there. And Phosphene, “seeing” without light actually entering the eye … I see what the author did there.
Being a certified dad, I approve these dad jokes. Now if only someone makes a comment about phosgene gas, which actually smells lovely but kills.

  3. Phos{phate|phene|gene} is no longer under cover, although her knight is.
Meanwhile, the Veritable Plethora? of overt and incipient puns appeals greatly, and it also suggests a connection with one of my favorite literary malaprops, Bottom, from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. His line which fits in here is his confusing “odorous” with “odious’.
