This is episode 192 of The Middle Age. You can read the story from the beginning here.
Once more, this comic strip mirrors life as I’m getting back on my feet after five days on the road to the Baltimore Comic-Con.
A continuity note: I’d been drawing the buckle of our hero’s scabbard “wrong” for fifty episodes before I noticed. And it’s been bugging me. 🙂 I made it “right” on the cover of the Volume One collection and have been looking for any opportunity to correct this – ideally as part of the story. I almost had Phosphene fix it – as she was likely correcting him throughout their relationship (I didn’t do it because I didn’t want to interrupt the flow of the scenes they had together). I’m now going to say that either he accidentally fixed it in his sleep or while pulling out all those weapons and/or it’s a slightly magic scabbard. 🙂 I’m almost certainly not going to go back and redraw it in every episode.
The Kickstarter campaign for Volume Two continues to amaze me! We’ve unlocked the third stretch goal and I’m trying to come up with additional stretch goals. I’m open to suggestions! The main conditions for new goals being: they can’t cost too much since I’ll have to make hundreds of them and they can’t substantially increase the cost of shipping. What say you?
It was wonderful to see many of you in Baltimore!
Thanks again for your kind shares, comments, and support! 🙂
