Episode 10: “There’s an evil horde standing behind me, isn’t there?”

Chandler’s Law: “When in doubt, have a man come through a door with a gun in his hand.” In this case, it’s a lot of men. Or monsters. And lots of swords and axes.

I’ve always tried to keep pulp novelist Raymond Chandler’s “law” in mind because it helps keep the action going. It’s really easy for a comic to turn into talking heads and to me, that’s just not a lot of fun to draw. I have a few rules for each page that I write but the main one is that I want make sure every page has a reason to exist – it’s got to have a joke or two and it also needs to advance the story or reveal character. This strip starts with a joke, reveals a little character – in this case that Quimp is deciding to keep the Woeblade even though he’s learned that it’s cursed – and then we reveal an army of monsters.

Thanks again for your kindness and support! Anything you can do to help spread the word is appreciated.
