  1. Steve, your turn of phrase reminds me of Sir Terry Pratchett. I hope you take that as the compliment it is intended to be.

    1. I’m coming very late to the Terry Pratchett party. My main influence is definitely Douglas Adams. I started this series thinking, stylistically, “Douglas Adams but fantasy.” About two years into this series, a friend introduced me to Terry Pratchett’s work and I got maybe 20 pages into The Colour of Magic and had to set it aside. I love it but I could tell it would re-wire my brain. When I finish the third act of this story, I plan to reward myself by digging back into his work.

      The long way ‘round of me saying that I’m deeply honored by any comparison. <3
