Episode 325: “I can honestly say…”

I thought I’d post this earlier but I kept fine-tuning it. One problem with my coloring becoming more lush is that it can make a scene of our hero sliced to bits look a lot more unpleasant. The stark linework was – to me – just silly and funny. But I could see how readers might find the color work uncomfortable to look at. I ended up casting his figure in mostly shadow as a precaution.

About half-way through, this line summed up my own feelings about the corner I was painting myself into…

Less confidence... a panel from episode 325.

I may still redo the bottom panel to put Sir Quimp entirely in silhouette and leave it all up to the reader’s imagination – and let Maledicta’s zingers do all the work.

I promise that our hero will be mostly back to normal by the next episode. 🙂

And thanks, as always, to my amazing supporters on Patreon who keep this project going!

  1. … I guess we’re lucky that the zombies are so orderly as to have put body parts and clothes into SEPARATE piles. It’s a miracle that he’s gotten the number of limbs right. He’s for döner kebap what Bibendum is to tires!

“… I may have to handle you so as to cut this leg back into pieces, and reassemble it correctly.”
“You meant to say ‘FOOTLE me’, right?”

  2. There’s always the thinly sliced salami-pile option! Loony Tunes did that often enough, hahaha
