Episode 313: “What’s he saying?”
I’m excited by how many readers knew it was Kevin from the bonkers font. 🙂
When the story started, it’s fair to say I had no idea I’d be drawing a bear-headed undead knight with a rune-covered sword fighting dragons in an inferno at the edge of a gorge.
One note about the last panel: this year, I started taking karate classes and it absolutely informed the slide-behind-side-kick sending Quimp over the edge. 🙂

where is episode 314? as I write this it is Friday and we were promised new episodes on Wednesdays. I really enjoy this comic especially the artwork.

I just shared a public (no paywall) update on my Patreon. I had finished the art but I just wasn’t happy with it. It was *fine* but not what it should be. I’ve scrapped it and have started it over. So, I’m expecting to share the new episode this Wednesday You can see the unused, finished art in that Patreon link.
My only response to that (after looking at the Patreon site… is I agree that looked very $h1tty…
And we continue the time honored (if not sensitive) “We’ll get there when we get there” method of web comic updating. It can’t all be like whatshisface who did Schlock Mercenary.
I was hoping to share the completed episode today (Wednesday) but we had a tragedy over the weekend with the loss of one of our cats–the inspiration for the baby dragon Jarn from The Middle Age. It was very sudden and sad and it put me in a place where crafting comedy wasn’t something I could do. 🙁

The humor and artwork make updates totally worth the wait for me. It’s a subtle dance that Kevin does with the fourth wall, that I think is hilarious all by itself.
